Position Description We are seeking a postdoctoral researcher to conduct research to understand how land management affects salmon populations experiencing climate change in Washington state. The position will be funded for one year, with possibility of extension for one additional year. Imperiled salmonid populations in the West are in crisis due to multiple factors, including declining ocean productivity, barriers to fish passage, poor hatchery practices, overfishing, and habitat loss and degradation. Ongoing climate change is likely to exacerbate many of these problems, and natural resource managers seek to promote salmon recovery in part through implementing land management practices that will benefit them.
