General Description: This is a part-time position responsible for the day-to-day exterior maintenance, and assisting operations team with interior maintenance, repair, and upkeep of the Shopping Centre.
Job Description
Exterior groundskeeping- the daily removal of litter from all property parking lots, sidewalks, entranceways, and outparcel buildings.
Daily removal of trash bags from exterior waste receptacles
Overview and removal of debris from property smoking receptacles
Assist with minor landscaping work, including minor irrigation system repairs.
Assistance with snow removal from sidewalks & entrances using manual and power equipment
Set-up & take-down of mall displays and decor
Perform minor repairs on lights, doors, locks, washroom fixtures, drywall, paint, ceiling tiles, floor tiles, concrete and asphalt and other areas as required to maintain health and safety standards
Keep all property vehicles and equipment clean and regularly maintained.
Maintain the cleanliness of all mechanical and electrical rooms.
Assists with various other tasks as assigned by the Operations Manager or their designate.
Customer Service
Knowledge/Skills/Competences:
Secondary School Diploma
Ability to operate equipment and hand-power tools applicable to the role, including but not limited to, vehicle, snowblower, gas powered trimmer, drills, ladders etc.
Ability to work independently and with other team members as necessary
Experience in minor building repairs including electrical, plumbing, drywall and painting
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Able to adapt in situations and reliability
Experience in operation of the following systems: HVAC, electrical, fire alarm, sprinklers.
Physical Requirements
Regularly move heavy objects over 35lbs.
Work in a variety of weather conditions with exposure to outdoor elements
Work at heights greater than 10 feet
Ability to climb ladders and stairs to reach work areas
Must be able to provide clear criminal record check
Must be able to provide a drivers abstract
Must have valid Ontario Class G Drivers Licence
Must have current divers insurance for the past 2 years
