Our client is seeking to hire for a Financial Analyst / Associate role. The ideal candidate must be detail-oriented and have excellent skills using Excel and Argus software for real estate investment analysis. The candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside the partners and most senior professionals of the firm, where management is approachable and transparent to help each and every person grow and succeed.
Responsibilities & Duties:
Underwrite and research investment opportunities across various property types, geographies, and sectors.
Prepare cash flow models and sensitivity analyses for both existing assets and new investment opportunities.
Gather and evaluate economic, demographic, and real estate market data for input into project specific deliverables such as buy, sell, asset management, and leasing decisions.
Research, analyze, and present sales comparable.
Prepare Quarterly Market Reports, pulling stats from Costar and other real estate data sources.
Analyze financial terms of prospective deals including debt requirements, return expectations, hold period.
Assists with the closing process including reviewing PSA’s, loan documents, closing documents, and working with lawyers and others regarding both acquisitions and dispositions.
Maintain relationships with investment sales and leasing brokers.
Work hand in hand with property management team to maintain open lines of communication with a focus on asset management.
Ensure timely production of accurate and quality work.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in real estate, accounting, finance, or related field preferred
1-3 years of work experience in Finance/Real Estate
Proficient in Excel and Argus Software
Open to learning additional software, such as VTS, CoStar, Rockport VAL, and incorporating into routine
Ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative information and translate into strategic deliverables.
Understanding of real estate fundamentals, economic metrics, and research processes.
Familiarity and some experience abstracting leases and understanding of various lease structures.
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to multi-task, work successfully under pressure and effectively manage time and workload.
