Global Energy Trading Risk Management Manager

A distinguished player in the energy and technology sector currently in search of a highly skilled Global ETRM Manager. They excel in trading energy in global markets and providing unparalleled services to manage the inherent variability of renewable power generation across short, medium, and long-term timeframes.

Global ETRM Manager Responsibilities

• Crafting and implementing the ETRM Road Map and landscape strategy across the organisation.
• Managing a comprehensive Book of Work for the team, encompassing projects and BAU, adeptly budgeting resources, projects, and deliveries.
• Developing robust project plans, overseeing project scope, prioritizing requests, and proactively resolving issues.
• Engaging in C-Level Stakeholder Management across the company, setting realistic expectations and goals, and articulating information at the appropriate level of detail for management.
• Skillfully managing and engaging with Investors, presenting and communicating effectively at meetings and workshops.
• Collaborating on enterprise projects with internal IT teams and external vendors.
• Addressing L3 Production Support issues with efficiency and expertise.
• When necessary, working directly with business groups to dissect and document current user processes, defining future business processes, and gathering user requirements.
• Mentoring junior members of the team, offering valuable guidance, support, and subject matter expertise across various domains.

Global ETRM Manager Experience & Knowledge

• Extensive experience gained across Banks, Trading Houses, or Utilities within the Commodity and Energy Domain.
• Knowledge of energy trading and risk management (ETRM) systems and business processes, including trade exchange integration, trade capture, trade valuation, confirmations, invoicing, and risk reporting.
• Proven management experience, showcasing the ability to lead a team of business analysts and developers across multiple sites.
• Familiarity with European and American Power and Gas Markets.
• Hands-on experience in defining a solution delivery process, including creating project work plans, assessing and mitigating project risk.
• Proficiency in scripting (JVS/Java) for ETRM systems.
• Strong grasp of database queries, especially in SQL.
• Experience with Python is an advantage.
