Title: Vehicle Mechanic
Location: Dayton, Oh
Salary: $24. 50 - $26. 00, Depending on experience
Hours: Monday - Thursday, 7:00AM - 5:30PM

What Will I Be Doing?
Here are just a few things you can expect to do daily:
Team member must be able to work and direct personnel in a team-oriented and safety conscious environment. "Safety First" expectations include, but are not limited to, PJHA process, Observation process, and compliance with all company / site safety guidelines and procedures.
Test Drive vehicles and test components and systems, using equipment such as infrared engine analyzers, compression gauges, and computerized diagnostic devices as needed. Examine Vehicles to establish the extent of damage or malfunctions. Repair, replace, and adjust brakes.
Follow checklists to ensure all important parts are examined, including belts, hoses, steering systems, spark plugs, brake and fuel systems, wheel bearings, and other potentially troublesome areas.
Perform routine and scheduled maintenance services such as oil changes, lubrications, and tune-ups.
Repair and service air conditioning, heating, engine-cooling, and electrical systems. Test and adjust repaired systems to meet manufacturer's performance specifications.
Tear down, repair, and rebuild faulty assemblies such as power systems, steering systems, and linkages.
Assist in formulating preventive maintenance standards / work procedures while performing those duties and provide work order feedback on discrepancies noted in service delivery.
Assigned tasks list to include, but not limited to repairs and preventive maintenance on pumps, conveying systems, piping, heat exchangers, power transmissions, and other power-driven rotating equipment. Repairs and preventive maintenance to be performed in conformance with established standards.
Must have working knowledge of the following topics: using hand / power tools, precision alignment, rigging, pipefitting, welding, blueprint reading, mathematics, Preventive/Predictive Maintenance.
Employee will perform any and all other duties that are assigned by the responsible supervisor. Must be able to use hand tools on a daily basis such as power tools (hand grinders, saws, impact wrenches, drill press, and hydraulic pullers), and rigging equipment. Also perform welding, using a cutting torch as required.
Must be able to operate and have knowledge of simple and complex heavy industrial equipment such as forklifts, scissors lifts, basket trucks, and skid loaders.
Must have the flexibility to work all shifts including holidays and weekends as demanded by the job.
Ensures compliance with all company / customer regulations, policies, and procedures.
Achieve performance expectations set forth as part of performance appraisals to include employee development planning.
Communications with all team members to assist the development of short- and long-range planning in assist of the company's goals
Maintain personal tools required for your job to include an up to date documented personal tool list. Required tool listing to be supplied as part of employment.

Perform assigned tasks in a safe, effective, and efficient manner.
Accurate and timely administrative duties to include, but not limited to, time accounting and work order completion.

Education: Possess a high school degree or an approved GED. AA degree in Industrial Maintenance preferred, but not required.
Experience: Five years' experience in industrial maintenance and repairs preferred

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
