Trinity Industries, Inc. is searching for talented team players to join our 2023 Summer Internship Program!
The 2023 Summer Internship Program is designed to expose students to the many facets of business and culture within Trinity Industries, Inc. Each intern will work on a project-based, real work assignment that aligns with their area of study. Interns will receive firsthand experience with Trinity's culture and business environment through networking opportunities, plant tours and special presentations. Trinity Industries, Inc. is searching for a passionate Environmental, Social Responsibility, & Governance (ESG) Summer Intern in Dallas, Texas.
 
 What you’ll do:
• Research the Science Based Target initiative (SBTi) and report on its efficacy/utility for Trinity’s plans for Greenhouse Gas Emission target setting
• Compare various models for Climate Change Risk Assessments, proffering the best aspects of each for Trinity’s current state
• Create a reporting template for tracking outside ratings metrics vs internal targets
• Partner with the internal data analytics team to explore potential new/novel data sources to measure compliance effectiveness
• Draft “news article” for internal publication on an ESG topic
• Participate and contribute to weekly Sustainability meetings with outside consultants 
 
 

What you’ll need: 
•  Must be in Senior year of Bachelor’s Degree and/or pursuing a Graduate’s Degree in Environmental Engineering, Law, Accounting, Finance, Audit, or similar 
•  Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
•  Must be detail-oriented and able to multi-task
•  Demonstrated ability to work with minimum supervision and take initiative
•  Demonstrated ability to work on a cross functional environment
•  Passion for tracking, reporting on, and improving ESG practices at a public company
