Job Summary: Support the Environmental Health & Safety Office mission by assisting with the Fire and Life Safety Program as directed.Support Fire and Life Safety Program. Conduct building and housing unit inspections per assigned schedule to address fire prevention, life safety code issues, and adequacy of fire and life safety systems and equipment. Issue hot work permits, review and approve plans for special campus event activities (i.e., egress requirements, tent permits, stage permits, outdoor grill use, etc.). Conduct incident investigations. Document and maintain appropriate, accurate, and complete records of inspections, corrective actions, investigations, and other Fire and Life Safety Program related records as directed.
