The HR Analyst position plays a Human Resources support role within the Bakken Onshore and Midstream Assets as part of the Global Production organization. Organizationally, HR is embedded in Global Production with a strong functional, dotted line into HR. This role coordinates the delivery of all core HR activities, whether delivered personally or through Centers of Expertise (Specialist Teams).

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Primarily provides support to the Bakken HR team, working directly with the HR Director and HR managers, employees, and people managers to support the overall people agenda for the business and promote employee engagement
Provides support to select activities for both Bakken and GoM Assets, e.g., Glint Analysis
Delivers high quality HR processes through partnership with HR colleagues in Compensation, Talent Management and Acquisition, Benefits and HR Services
Responsible for data integrity for human resources data; compiles data and metrics for key HR focus areas
Provides data analytics and insights for both Bakken and GoM Assets
Efficiently and effectively manages Asset requests (tickets) into the MyHR team, e.g., Org management.
Glint reporting and interpretation for Life@Hess and ongoing culture activities, working closely with the HR Directors and HR Managers.
Attend HRD team meeting for Bakken and GoM Assets.
Participates in recruiting processes for select roles typically SG 6 and below. Provides Foundation and Intern brokering support to HR Manger responsible.
Ensures company is compliant with all local, state and federal laws, either on or offshore
Provides HR Generalist support in conjunction with the HR Manager to a variety of client groups based in both Houston and North Dakota.
Partners with managers and employees on a variety of HR activities such as HR policy interpretation, performance management, employee development, investigations/discipline etc.
Leads and participates in projects, HR and/or business teams as needed.
2-3 years of relevant HR analyst/generalist experience is preferred, ideally in oil related / energy industry
Self-motivated, keen, and able to learn, capable of adapting to new technologies
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and results driven
Strong at managing data and interpretation to provide insights
Ability to deal with ambiguity, multiple and diverse client groups, and drive issues to closure
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage quick turnaround without losing quality, and influence positive outcomes, share insights and opinions on business/HR related matters
Strong written and verbal communication skills; Must be able to effectively communicate with management, technical and operations staff at all levels
Ability to drive continuous process improvement
Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision in a diverse, multidiscipline team environment.
