This project manager role will be based in Cambridge, Canada, and will focus on leading existing and new NPI projects.
Given the business strategy roadmap for the power control products, there are several projects that are planned or under consideration over the next four (4) fiscal years. In the near term, this role will focus immediately leading strategic NPI projects as well as several continuation engineering projects. As the incoming Project Manager develops their skills around Rockwell's PLM process, they will take over larger strategic projects.
What you will do
Manages creation, development, execution, and close out of projects/Epics under our Scaled Agile Framework(SAFe) and Common Product Development (CPD) process within the project budget and schedule.
Leads cross-functional teams and third party service providers/suppliers while maintaining overview and communication of the assigned projects.
Independently identifies, manages and mitigates project risks, resulting in proactive contingency planning as required.
Prepares and negotiates project change requests with stakeholders.
Accountable for meeting project deadlines.
Prepares and leads internal project reviews
Provides presentations to project stakeholders and management on project status, cost and schedule updates, lessons learned etc.
Ensures that all project administration is completed and project files are maintained according to RA standards
Promotes good relationships with all global stakeholders
Bachelor of Engineering ( Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, Software)or equivalent.

Up to 15% International travel is required.
Master's degree in engineering or MBA
Minimum 5 years of project management experience in planning, executing, monitoring, controlling, and closing processes of project management
8 Years in NPI or R&D product development environment
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering discipline.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
In-depth and advance knowledge of PMI standards and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and other project management best practices. The ability to work as an Epic Owner under the Lean Portfolio Management structure is critical and key requirement for this role.
Ability to lead multiple projects and partner with management/ functional managers to resolve conflicts and obtain resources for projects.
Strong stakeholder relationship management skills and ability to collaborate effectively with various functional groups and other business units
Experience with power control applications in the Heavy Industries such as Mining, Cement, Oil & Gas, Steel, Automotive, etc.
Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and negotiation skills
