The Maintenance & Technical Services Director provides managerial and technical leadership for the Mechanical, Instrument, Electrical, Controls Systems, and Turnaround groups that are dedicated to the Petrochemicals (CP) business unit. You will be responsible for the safe and effective execution of site wide maintenance, turnaround and construction work, managing all stakeholder expectations, driving standardized work processes, and ensuring efficient and effective work execution and reliable production.
The Director provides site-wide expert guidance regarding complex maintenance, turnaround, contracting or construction issues and solutions; this includes the development and implementation of maintenance strategies consistent with requirements as defined by the business unit as well as appropriate contracting strategies. This position also provides critical input into the development of the asset reliability strategies with direct reports that include Maintenance Managers, Instrument/Electrical/Controls Manager and Turnaround Manager.
Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent
Formula for Success:
Leveraging your extensive professional experience leading teams within a Chemical or Refining manufacturing environment, you will provide direction to the site's Maintenance and Technical Services groups and assist in the development and achievement of the strategic vision for the Petrochemicals Business Unit's manufacturing team
In partnership with Asset Management, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of all maintenance strategies, as well as collaboration in the development and implementation of reliability strategies
As a role model, you will display a strong commitment to driving continuous improvement in work processes and the elimination of waste
Your broad-based knowledge and experience in technical areas for execution of all Maintenance related activities will serve you well as you provide technical support to core reliability processes, such as Bad Actors, Root Cause Failure Analysis, FMEA
You will be entrusted with identifying industry trends and implementing best practices within the area of responsibility
