Description of the Business Line or Department The GLBA/NAT mission statement is to develop a worldwide business franchise in the Natural Resources, Energy and Infrastructure sector by providing clients with financing solutions as well as providing advisory services. The Natural Resources & Infrastructure Financing Group provides a full range of finance and advisory services for producers, traders, processors and end-users of energy, metals and soft commodities as well as public sector through four key platforms: Energy group, Metals & Mining finance group, Traders, Commodity finance & Agribusiness group and Infrastructure finance. GLBA/NAT/NRG is in charge of financing and advisory services for energy projects worldwide as well as structured financings and reserve-based lending for energy players. APF provides finance and advisory to power generation and supply companies as well as oil & gas infrastructure (pipelines, LNG infrastructure, petrochemicals). Lending activity is governed by the following CORISQs: LNG, Oil & Gas and Renewables.
Summary of the key purposes of the role A. Support the origination of new transactions, build and manage client relationships with APF target borrowers in the EMEA and CIS regions B. Take a senior support role in advisory and arranging transaction teams C. Contribute to the management of the portfolio Represent APF in internal dialogues with colleagues to provide best-in-class advisory to the client base
Summary of responsibilities
To support all aspects of the origination of new transactions in line with APF's strategy and priorities
To contribute to the effective and responsible execution of lending mandates with limited support for a senior members of the team and be in charge of the significant parts of advisory mandates
To prepare the credit analysis and documentation, under the supervision of a deal team leader, for approval of the bank's credit teams and management
To contribute to the development of advisory, product offering and internal processes in line with APF's strategy and priorities
To contribute to the development of the APF client base in line with GLBA's and SG Group's strategy and priorities
To represent APF in internal dialogues with colleagues to provide best-in-class advisory to the client base
To perform all required training on time and maintain good and up to date knowledge of GLBA Handbook and Code of Conduct obligations
To mentor junior members of the team and provide an impeccable example to junior members of the team in complying with Conduct principles and guidelines
Understanding of the loan market, its dynamics and the related instruments, including credit and rates derivatives to propose relevant financing solutions
Capacity to generate pitch material that is clear, structured, compelling, and comprehensive in addressing clients' needs
Responsibility - capacity to understand and manage risks (conduct, reputational, financial, etc.) for NAT, GLBA, and SG Group, and act responsibly in line with SG Group Values, Code of Conduct, and other applicable rules & regulations
